Educational Programs
Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum offers a wide range of educational opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages. Teachers and group leaders can arrange educational tours for their classes, while individuals can explore our home school and educational outreach programs.
Students between the ages of 12 and 18 can learn more by joining our team and becoming an Evergreen Discovery Ambassador. Younger students (grades K-3rd) can get an early start by joining our Aerospace Book Club. Educational groups can also enjoy a more immersive experience by spending a night at the museum, camping at Evergreen’s Oak Grove Camping Area, or joining our Summer Camp program. Our Scouting program also offers opportunities to earn aviation and space merit badges.
Our Educational Programs include:
Educational Tours
• A History of Aviation. Explore the history of flight from the Wright brothers to space exploration.
• Science of Flight. Learn the basics of aerodynamics and the four forces of flight by constructing your own glider.
• Aviation Scavenger Hunt. Learn fun facts about aviation, while exploring the museum on your own.
• A Conversation in History.Because many of our volunteers are veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, with prior notification, you can interview someone with first-hand experience with our aircraft. To arrange a class tour, just fill out and submit this form.School Lunches may also be arranged for tour groups. There are two lunch options that schools can take advantage of during their visit at the museum. Students/teachers/chaperones have the option of bringing their own sack lunch with facilities provided. Students/teachers/chaperones can pre-order box lunches from our cafes. All school box lunches meet current Federal nutrition standards. Must order in time of visitation registration prior to visit.
