How do we find Evergreen Wings & Waves?
Wings & Waves is located off Highway 18 east of McMinnville, across from the McMinnville airport. We are approximately one hour from downtown Portland, 40 minutes from Salem, and one hour from Lincoln City. Click here for driving directions.
What are your operating hours?
Our hours vary, depending on season. Current hours can be found on our Museum/Waterpark Hours and Admission page.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Wings & Waves accepts cash, and all major credit cards at the park. Checks are only accepted for reserved groups and birthday parties.
Do you have an ATM?
Wings & Waves does not have an ATM onsite.
What is the water temperature?
Pools are set at 84 degrees and the spa is set at 102. The interior of the park is set to 85.
Do I still have to pay if I don’t get in the water?
Yes, however guests can pay the H2O Hands-On Science Center admission if they don’t want to use the water attractions. There is no way to separate or regulate those who are not using the attractions. Some chaperone allowances are made for special groups. Please note: Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult while in the Waterpark. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a swimming adult while in the water. Swimming adults are required to pay full admission. Adults may supervise a maximum of 4 children (1:4 adult to child ratio).
Can we bring our own food and drink into the park?
Food, beverages and coolers may not be brought inside the park. We have a variety of food options available at our Milky Way Cafe, inside of the Waterpark. You’re also welcome to pack your own picnic to enjoy in our picnic area located in our Oak Grove. Please pack a cooler to leave in your car until you’re ready to eat. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on campus grounds.
What is Wings &Waves lifejacket policy?
You can bring in your own lifejackets, as long as they are U.S. Coast Guard approved. Wings & Waves also has life jackets available at no charge. Swimsuits with built-in floatation devices are not Coast Guard approved, and are not allowed.
For improved safety in the wave pool, Wings & Waves STRONGLY RECOMMENDS all guests under 48″ wear a lifejacket. We also recommend that parents keep their children within arms reach during all water activities. We strongly recommend all guests under 48″ or who are weak or non-swimmers wear lifejackets where appropriate.
What type of training do Wings & Waves lifeguards receive?
To ensure guest safety and satisfaction, Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark has partnered with Jeff Ellis & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in aquatics staff training. You may see Wings & Waves lifeguards conducting drills while the Waterpark is open. If you have any questions feel free to contact a park manager.
Can I leave the park and get back in?
All guests leaving the park and planning to return later that day must be wearing their Waterpark wristband upon re-entry.
What can we wear on the water slides?
Appropriate swimwear is required, and subject to park approval. Denim, cut-offs, bikini thongs, or swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal
ornamentation are not permitted. For rider safety you may carry sunglasses and water shoes down the slides, but not wear them. Swimsuits with built-in floatation devices are not Coast Guard approved, and are not allowed on some attractions. Swim diapers are required for children who aren’t potty trained. Swim diapers are available for purchase.
What are the height requirements for the rides?
For the safety of our guests, certain rides have height requirements: 42 inches for all inner tube slides and 48 inches for the body slide. On the Aquaplay (play structure), the Green slide’s height requirement is 36 inches, and the Orange and Yellow slides are 40 inches.
How much does it cost to rent a locker?
Lockers range from $8-10 depending on the size. Our lockers provide you with all day, unlimited access to your belongings.
What about my glasses?
We recommend you hold your glasses in your hand when you go down the slides.
Can I wear water shoes or sandals on the attractions?
You can wear water shoes or sandals to walk around the park, but for your safety you will be asked to hold them in your hand when you go down the slides. Water shoes or sandals can catch on the slide on your way down, causing possible injury.
Is there a tube rental fee?
All tubes required for the water slides are free of charge.
Is there a fee to park?
All Wings & Waves parking is free of charge.
Do you provide towels?
Wings & Waves does not provide towels, however, they are available for purchase in the gift shop if you happen to forget yours.
Can I bring my dog?
With the exception of guide dogs, no pets are allowed in the waterpark. For your pet’s safety, please don’t leave them in your vehicle, RV, or tied up on Evergreen property.
Is the Park wheelchair accessible?
The wet decks, leisure pool, H20 Museum, Milky Way Café and birthday rooms are wheelchair accessible.
