Amazing Aerospace Summer Camps

From building rockets under the shadow of a Titan II missile to planning a manned journey to Mars, the Museum is offering a brand new camp schedule this summer! Students will spend part of the day creating, part of the day experimenting, and all of the day learning. 

All camps are from 10am – 3pm.

  • Rocketry Camp (Ages 9-14): July 9 – 13
    Aim for the stars in our Rocketry Camp! From paper rockets to model rockets that fly up to 300 feet, you will spend the week building, learning, and ultimately designing rockets. Tell your friends that yes, it is just rocket science!
    Capacity: 30
    Cost: $250 (non-member); $200 (member)

  • Incredible Edibles in Space (Ages 7-13): July 18
    Astronauts need to eat too! Learn about the sometimes disgusting wonders of food in space as you build a solar oven – just don’t forget that what goes in must come out.

  • Unsung Heroes (Ages 7-13): August 1
    Throughout the history of aviation and space, there have been figures who have been huge contributions, only to be forgotten in our history books. Discover these fantastic men and women as you participate in the same activities that they helped to innovate.

  • Mission to Mars Camp (Ages 12-16): August 6-10
    The future is here, and NASA has called upon you to plan a mission to the Red Planet! Make decisions that will affect the rest of your mission as you and your team change the course of humanity.

  • All About Unmanned Flight (Ages 10-15): August 15
    Hot air balloons, drones, and rovers – oh my! Unmanned flight is delving more and more into the realm of science fiction, and you can be a part of that journey! Build, learn to fly, and discover the joys of unmanned aircraft.

  • Espionage Camp (Ages 7-12): August 27-31
    The history of spying has always been rife with excitement! From learning how the first war plane was used as a spy plane to cracking secret codes that use the power of math, you will spend the week immersed in the world of espionage.
