Topic: Werner von Braun started his life on March 23, 1912 in Germany. Later he headed up the German rocket program during WW II. He and about 1,600 fellow engineers surrendered to the American forces and were moved to the United States where he headed up our missile and space program ending in the development of the Apollo Moon Program. June16. 1977, Wernher von Braun died of pancreatic cancer in Alexandria, Virginia, at the age of 65.
