History Continued: The Challenger Shuttle Disaster "A Predictable Surprise"

Topic: On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members. Our presenter, a retired Fire Service Safety Officer, used the Challenger disaster to teach firefighters how injuries and death can be prevented. We will explore with the audience factors leading to this incident and show how it was both “highly” predictable and a surprise.
