All day: Scavenger Hunt

Pick up an Scavenger Hunt at the Admissions desk or in the Gift Store and hunt through the Museum to learn all about the history of aviation and its impact on our world.

10am - 10:30am: Coffee with the Curator - Grab a cup of coffee at the Liberty Belle cafe and hear the Curator talk a little about the exhibit Righting a Wrong: Japanese Americans and World War II.

12pm - 1pm: OPB Oregon Japanese American History Documentary - By the 1920s, Oregon had well-established Japanese American communities in Portland and Hood River. Immigrant pioneers managed businesses, thriving farms, and orchards with their American-born children. Pearl Harbor changed everything.

2pm: Speaker Event with Author Linda Tamura  - We are excited to welcome speaker Linda Tamura, the author of two books on the subject, as she reflects on lessons she's learned as well as steps to righting the wrongs of the past. As an orchard kid raised in Oregon, Linda Tamura did not realize that the "camp" her mom mentioned was not a summer camp. As a young adult, her questions led to learning about her mother's wartime incarceration, her father's military service, and her hometown's unsavory past.

4pm - 5pm: OPB Oregon Japanese American Documentary  -
By the 1920s, Oregon had well-established Japanese American communities in Portland and Hood River. Immigrant pioneers managed businesses, thriving farms, and orchards with their American-born children. Pearl Harbor changed everything.
