for K – 2nd Graders
Up in the Air
Into the sky! Junior aviators will learn about the history and science of aviation, from biomimicry to modern rocketry. Campers will discover and test out the fundamentals of flight alongside our famous exhibits.
Star Sailors
Let’s look to the stars! Young astronomers incoming grades K-2 will explore the wonders of the universe, from our solar system to black holes and nebulae. Campers will conduct hands-on experiments on light, gravity, and more.
for 3rd – 5th Graders
Destination Mars
What does it really take for a person to travel to Mars? Let’s find out! Campers entering 3rd-5th grades will take a scientific approach to space exploration, including propulsion, space faring, and planetary colonization.
Aero Engineers
Jump into the pilot’s seat! Campers going into grades 3-5 will become aerospace engineers and learn about the science and mechanics of flight, applying our version of the engineering design process.
for 6th – 8th Graders
Orbital Odyssey
Can we actually leave Earth? Incoming 6th-8th graders will dive deep into space exploration with math-based challenges and hands-on experiments, including a final showcase for the best option for humanity.
Cosmic Coders
Calling all future computer scientists! Students will embark on a week of coding to solve space-themed challenges. This course is for beginners looking for fun projects and challenges that include storytelling and interactivity.

Summer Camp 2025 Public Schedule:
- July 7 to July 11, 2025 (Week 1): Up in the Air, Destination Mars, and Orbital Odyssey
- July 14 to July 18, 2025 (Week 2): Star Sailors, Aero Engineers, and Cosmic Coders
- July 21 to July 25, 2025 (Week 3): Up in the Air, Destination Mars, and Orbital Odyssey
- July 28 to August 1, 2025 (Week 4): Star Sailors, Aero Engineers, and Cosmic Coders
Additional Details:
- Museum-provided lunches are available for $45/camper for the week
- Campers are encouraged to attend multiple weeks if interested and eligible.
- More weeks may be scheduled, depending on community interest and instructor availability.

We have limited funds to support low-income families who wish to participate in our week-long camps. We hope to support children and families with:
- Demonstrated financial need (household income, government support, reduced/free lunch at school, etc.)
- High academic potential (in-school performance, extra-curricular activities, etc.)
