2024 will be an exciting year at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. We are excited about the wide range of new program offerings, special events, collaborations, and new exhibits.

All New Programs and Experiences for 2024

The Flight Training Center:  The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum Flight Training Center is where kids of all ages can have fun and learn to plan, prep, and take flight in our new Flight Training Center. The FTC features fully equipped Microsoft Flight Simulators, a real aircraft for preflight training, and learning stations focused on flight planning, weather observation, safety, and lessons on how flight works. Come join the fun! The FTC is an especially fun STEAM learning opportunity for School Groups and Home School groups alike. Come check out the FTC today!

Quarterly Star Parties: For our Space and Stellar focused friends we are pleased to share that we are stepping up our collaboration with Carlton Observatory to offer quarterly “star parties.” These events will offer our members and guests the chance to spend an evening gazing at the stars, enjoying wine and good food, while learning from renowned astronomers on a wide range of subjects ranging from solar flares to black holes. The Star Party schedule will be announced n February.

Behind the Scenes Tours: Beginning this Spring our members and guests will be given the chance to take a peak behind the scenes to see how our Restoration Team does their magic. With projects like our F5D, C-47, and a new F-117 joining the Evergreen Fleet, their will be plenty to see.

January 13: The Nighthawk Experience: Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Desert Storm. Our experts will be on hand to answer your questions about the roles played by the Nighthawk, Thunderbolt II (Warthog), Eagle, Corsair II, and the Tomcat during Desert Storm (Gulf War 1). Tickets on sale now.

February 15-16: Celebrate Black History Month with a Tribute to Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman and first Native American to earn a pilot’s license. Watch for an email with more information soon! Learn more about Bessie Coleman

March 8-10: Clear your calendar for the McMinnville Wine & Food Classic. Celebrate incredible wine and food right here on the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum campus. Enjoy Oregon’s best wineries, local chefs, bakers, breweries, distilleries, artisans, and musicians. Tickets to this event benefiting the St. James School are available on TicketTomato.

June 6: Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of “D-Day.” Join us as we commemorate what is arguably one of the most important days in world history, the battle of Normandy. Event details will be available in the spring. Keep an eye on our events calendar for further details.

July & August – Evergreen’s Aviation & Galaxy Camps: Summer camps return to the museum in 2024! These interactive one-week programs are filled with exciting, educational experiences designed to engage 3rd – 9th graders. Members pricing applies. Check our website for more information in the spring.

August 30-September 1: Evergreen Air Show Watch Party: The Oregon International Air Show watch party at Evergreen returns. Join us again this summer as we enjoy watching the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds while strolling through 120 years of aviation history. Priority seating and pricing will be available for Museum members. Keep an eye on your inbox for more information!
