MUSEUM IN A BOX (MiaB)

Interactive portable experiences on space and aviation science, engineering, and history.

INVITE OUR MUSEUM TO YOUR COMMUNITY!

You can now have the world-famous Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum into your classroom with a Museum in a Box (MiaB), a compact version of its unique experiences designed to supplement your learning environment with aerospace STEAM curriculum taught one of its trained Museum Educators!

In our hour-long programs, students will solve science problems, see and touch rare exhibits from our Collections, and participate in a class-wide challenge for prizes from us!

Hands-On Learning

Students attempt an interactive challenge with materials provided by us. Lessons include: the physics of flight, how to do astronomy, or the space engineering design process.

Show and Tell

We share our rare miniature exhibits from Evergreen Collections and talk about their history and design. We try to bring the most durables crafts for kids to be able to touch.

Test Your Knowledge

At the end of our session, we do a pop quiz to see if the students are paying attention. Students can compete in groups, but they’ll likely work together so that everyone wins!

MERIT BADGING FOR SCOUTS

Our MiaB program is ideal for scout groups looking for programming experiences to help with their merit badging requirements. We provide customized content based on:

  • Aviation Engineering
  • Pilot Preparation
  • Astronomy
  • Living and Working in Space
  • Rocketry
  • Customized Content (additional rates apply)
Girl Scouts surround Ms. Katie as she assists with a constellation exercise.

Bring our Museum to you!
We’ll do the rest.

As of Fall 2025, MiaBs are now invoiced based on three factors:

  • Base Rate: covers minimum costs of execution
  • Per Student: we require 5-20 participants per MiaB
  • Mileage: we travel up to 120 miles from the Museum

We can do up to four (4) MiaBs per day per location. Repeated content receives a reduced Base Rate.
