Wade Green

Location: Butte, Montana & McMinnville, Corvallis, & Hood River, Oregon

Wade Green grew up in Butte, Montana, graduated high school in 1960, then headed to the University of Utah. While there, he joined the University’s ROTC program and later was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was selected for flight school, where he learned to fly helicopters and headed into combat in Vietnam as an aircraft commander. When he returned to the United States, he became an instructor at Fort Walters, Texas. He later joined Evergreen Helicopters in McMinnville, Oregon pursuing a long and illustrious career in the commercial helicopter industry. Years later, he became the chief pilot for helicopter transport services in Corvallis, Oregon, and retired in Hood River with his wife, Kathryn.
