Topic: In the 1950's, the United States was making flights over the Soviet Union to spy on their military build-up along the european front. At that time, we had a high-altitude flying spy plane called the Lockheed U-2, but the military knew it was only a matter of time until the U-2 would be reached by Soviet missiles. What we needed was a high-speed, high-altitude plane that would not be intercepted. It was then that Lockheed developed a 2000+mph aircraft that has never been surpassed to this day! Come and learn how Lockheed accomplished this task.
