Aviation Camp
Calling all high-flying adventurers! Jump into the pilot’s seat, dive into the many sides of aviation, and sign up for a week of innovation.

FAQs
General Questions
Not at all! You can register for camps at the sign up form above. If we fill up all spots, you will be notified that you are on the waitlist.
Each camp will be led by licensed teachers and assisted with classroom aides. Our curriculum is aligned with school standards and aims to inspire your camper with a fresh love of innovation, exploration, and science.
If you need to cancel your registration, please call our museum at (503) 434-4185 or email education@sprucegoose.org.
Cancellations must be requested by the camper’s primary contact by phone or email. Cancellations within one week prior to the start of camp will be charged half the cost of programming. No refunds will be issued for requests less than one week prior to the start of camp. We are happy to work with you on this question.
In order to maintain stable groups of campers throughout the day, we will not be able to provide before and aftercare programs this year.
We will send an email out a week before camp to prepare you and your camper for procedures and expectations regarding their summer camp experience.

COVID-19 Protocols
Evergreen will follow the latest guidelines established by the Oregon Health Authority and Yamhill County for summer camp programs.
Summer health and safety protocols include:
- Stable groups of campers and staff to limit interaction.
- Sanitization throughout the day, along with requirements of campers and staff to wash hands multiple times a day.
- All camps will follow summer protocols from the Oregon Health Authority.
Campers are recommended, but not required, to wear a face mask.
Summer camps will be divided into stable groups of 30 campers or less, meaning the same group of campers will be with the same instructor and assistants for the week and will not intermingle with any other group during the day.
No, but we ask that parents do a daily screening at home prior to sending their camper to the museum. If the camper is feeling unwell, please keep them home until they are ready to return.
If the camper feels unwell while at camp, they will go to a separate area and be further assessed for symptoms.
All teaching spaces will be sanitized daily with an approved cleaner that aligns with OHA guidelines. Each space will be sanitized on the weekends prior to new campers utilizing the space. Additional cleaning protocols are in place for the entire Museum.

Evergreen’s Galaxy Exploration and Aviation camp curriculum has a great mix of classroom lessons, hands-on activities, experiments, and onsite field trips to help students visualize and grasp the concepts being taught.
Throughout the camps, students commented regularly on how amazing it was to experience and see space and aviation history in person. At the end of each week, students expressed many thanks to the camp’s staff for providing a fun-filled week of exploration and learning. It was also evident through students’ comments that they valued the new friendships made during their week at camp.
